Heartwood Cabinet Company may have been established in 2008, but our story really began in 1994 when thirteen-year-old Calvin Williams began working in remodeling and was introduced to trim carpentry. After more than 14 years of honing his skills in the contract industry (and picking up a few others trades along the way) he decided to whittle back down to the craft that started it all. Today, Calvin has a Master’s woodworking certificate and is in the process of earning a Fellowship. His obsession with precision is obvious in everything that goes out the door—from the hours of thought behind each individual design, to hand-carved flourishes and perfectly cut dovetail joints. Hard work? Maybe. But he’ll be the first to tell you that it’s worth every minute.
